Imagine how your friends and relatives would feel if you were able to bring the most intense and lifelike movie theater experience right into your living room. Imagine how they’d react to a picture that’s sharper than laser disc and twice as sharp as standard VHS. Imagine how the value of your couch would increase if it were enveloped in Dolby Digital Surround Sound? This is what happens when you have Toshiba DVD.Toshiba includes performance-enhancement and convenience features throughout its entire DVD line, and the SD2800 DVD player exemplifies the company’s commitment to high-performance and high-value. It is PLUGE compatible. PLUGE (Picture Line Up Generation Equipment) delivers the black as well as below black signals to a television. With this functionality, consumers can use a PLUGE chart to accurately set their TV’s black level. This then becomes the reference point for all other colors.

Reliable and straightforward DVD player
For the 5 or so years I’ve had this player it’s been a real trooper. It’s been easy to setup and use.

Solving the Disc Error Problem.
I have “fixed” several of these units.

6+ years and going strong
We’ve had this player for over 6 years and after some 500+ DVD’s played, it’s going just as strong as the first day. We’ve never had any trouble with it.

Mechanical flaw???
This DVD player generally plays well however disks tend to come dislodged from their slots as the carousel spins.

Excellent, real trooper, works great!
This player is excellent, feature loaded, cheap, high quality. I’ve had it nearly 2 years and have yet to have a single problem or even the slightest hint of a problem.

Fancy Features but Unreliable
Consider this before you buy: Is it more important to buy cheap now (and pay more later for replacement/repair)? Or is it more important to get a machine that lasts?
