   So far,so good.
   I,ve had this DVD player for about 8 months and it still works fine.I only bring this up because i purchased other brand ie Sony and LG which only lasted less than a year.

   Be aware, there is no tuner & your set up will probably require one.
   This DVD Recorder requires seperate external tuner for cable via TV, cable via set top box, satellite / dish, etc.

   Not As Good As I Expected!

   In short…bought the dvd recorder, but wasn’t happy with it…

   Good value for the money, but noisy
   In the $100 price range, this recorder was a bargain, but I returned it to Amazon because of the noise and speed of the mechanical functions.

   a little learning curve
   This recorder WORKS..All it takes is to read the manual, call for excellent C/S if needed..DVD recording is harder than VHS. The results are 10 times better.

   DVDs only play on THIS machine
   When my old Lite-On dvd recorder finally gave up the ghost I bought this Toshiba machine. It works fine but for one MAJOR thing. The DVDs it burns only play on THIS machine!

   Misleading Product
   I thought this product could make DVD’s from tapes. But that is not quite true. You have to hook up a VCR to this DVD to make tapes into DVD’s.

    Great for transferring 8mm video
    I bought this to transfer 16 years of 8mm tape to DVD format. This DVD recorder did the job very easily. I especially liked the automatic chapter insertion.
