   Recorder works even better than expected
   Arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Plays .AVIs recorded from internet that many players won’t play.

   I wish they had explained in plain “English” in the description that you need a cable or satellite box to record TV shows from cable!!!

   Records dvd’s too dark
   I purchased this recorder for the sole purpose of having quick backup capability for my miniDV tapes.

   Didn’t last
   Only lasted 7 months. When I called Toshiba, they offered to fix it if we pay $70 for labor plus shipping- not acceptable. It should be covered less than a year old.

    First one DOA, second one worked fine for about 6 months
    This was a Christmas gift; the first one was DOA. I thought it was the remote, but it was the recorder itself that was bad. So I exchanged it.
