   What I Expected
   I bought this unit to replace a VCR. I use DVD+RW disc and record at the LP setting which gives me 4 hours.

   Two bad units in a row
   I purchased this unit at Costco to replace an similar, older Panasonic with an analog tuner. The older unit was very reliable.

   prepare to do some sleuthing
   I bought this unit from Costco a few weeks ago. Thus far, I am happy with the recording quality, but am still putting it thru its paces.

   disappoint product from Panasonic
   I returned this unit and exchanged another one after few weeks of bad experience. Finally, I still have to return the 2nd set.

   Absolute Junk
   Don’t buy this unit. I’ve had it two months. It’s been back to Panasonic and it still won’t record on any DVD’s that the manual lists as compatible.

   I like the same things everybody else likes, so let me list the things I do not like about this unit:
   1. The menu functions are very confusing to me.

   Won’t record digital channels directly to VHS!
   I wish I had downloaded the owner’s manual and looked through it. I would have found clearly stated that this product will not record digital channels directly to VHS tape.

   PRO: After buying this at Sam’s Club, Amazon reviews mentioned the advantages of DVD-RAM. I agree with all.
