Watch movies the way they were meant to be viewed with the MPD720 portable DVD player from Magnavox. This lightweight player features a 7-inch LCD display with a theater-like 16:9 aspect ratio. A rechargeable battery can run the player for up to 3 hours, and you can plug it in anywhere for longer viewings. The MPD720 plays DVDs, CDs, MP3s, and more, so you can bring along all your favorite videos and music. The screen on the MPD720 is a thin-film-transfer (TFT) display that generates clear images without adding unnecessary bulk to the portable player. While you can enjoy movies everywhere you go with the built-in screen, you can connect the player to any television to watch your DVDs on a bigger screen. The MPD720 features both composite and S-ideo connections to link the player to another TV. The MPD720 plays DVDs and CDs (including discs burned on a computer), as well as VCDs. You can also play MP3s from CD-Rs and CD-RWs, and view digital JPEG photos. The MPD720 features built-in stereo speakers and a headphone jack for private viewing or listening. For even fuller sound, hook the player up to an audio receiver through the digital optical audio connection to experience rich surround sound. The MPD720 can go anywhere you go. Use it at home by plugging the player into a wall outlet, or run it in the car with the DC power adapter. After watching a movie, the battery can be quickly and easily recharged with the included charger. Still Tickin’
I bought this model from Walmart in 2003 or 2004. My girls watch movies in their room almost everyday and play cds everynight at bedtime. This one has been a great player.

Noisy skipper
I am impressed by all the features offered by this dvd player. I have been using my laptop to play workout discs and having something just set in place all the time or something…

Enjoy Your Shiny New Paperweight
This product demonstrated its unwillingness to work as soon as I put my first DVD in it. It was so scratch sensitive that it began skipping and hanging up on one of my own films…

No problems after 1.5 years
We’ve had no performance issues with ours. Have two boys, 6 & 4, who are the primary users so it’s not exactly been handled with care.

Magnavox MPD720 is not for the long haul
After reading good reviews for this on Amazon.com, I purchased it February 2005. Now I am seeing the more critical reviews from the period after my purchase.

Great little player!
I purchased this DVD player at our local Wal-Mart as a Christmas gift (2004) for my husband who was being deployed to Iraq.

Magnavox MPD720 – WORST PORTABLE DVD ON THE MARKET – BROKE AFTER 3rd VIEWING
This is one of the most expensive DVD players on the market and it broke after the 3rd time it was used. That is a whole lot of money to flush down the toilet!

broken after 4 months of use…
Do not buy this product. I bought this for my daughter for long car trips etc. and it broke after 3 months. She didn’t even use it that much. This product is not worth the money!!!

Don’t buy it!
I can’t help but laugh at some of the reviews I’ve read. I guess most all agree with me that this is junk.
